Custom screenings are private events hosted by organizations, universities, and other groups. They are ideal for membership-based groups, organizations with event series, companies that hold employee events, and any group looking for content for climate-focused events. Your members/audience will have exclusive access to view the film in a setting.of your design. Custom events create a space for your group to hold a meaningful discussion of issues related to the stories in the film. For example, the film portrays small solar systems for resilience, grid transformation, community organizing, policy development, offshore wind, and workforce training. We can also include workshops on climate and storytelling if requested.

Customized screenings are ideal events for any type of group that aligns with the film’s message. This includes non-profit organizations, universities, state or city sustainability programs, companies, houses of worship, and conferences.

Custom screenings are tailored to your group’s needs. They are hosted by your organization, either in-person or virtually, with all details customized to your group’s needs. We provide access to the film on a private, password-protected site, or theatrical screeners if you are holding a live event. We also add graphics and posters, a digital promotional kit with cut-and-pasteable template blurbs for emails and social media, and our team’s support. Your organization arranges and publicizes the event to your membership. If requested we can include a panel or Q&A with the film director. Together we learn more about the clean energy revolution!

Hosting a screening of the film "How To Power A City" is a way for your group to engage with solutions-based climate action. Watching the efforts of individuals leading solar and wind projects can inspire your audience to join the clean energy revolution. The most common reaction to the film has been “this makes it seem so much easier.” Your group will also learn about the other positive impacts of renewable energy projects in addition to creating clean electricity. Your virtual screening can also include features like Q&As and panels, and provide guides for community conversations. Finding hope in the face of climate change, and seeing how communities are leading the way, is one of the best ways to take positive climate action.

Screening fees start at $150 for a small, private screening, and range up to $7,500 for a full suite of options including public ticketed screening, a speaking event with the director, a digital site license, and additional options. We do many types of events and can shape something to fit your budget. Discounts are possible for non-profits hosting high-impact events. Please contact us to discuss your goals and needs.
